Each Afternoon Tea is a thoughtfully curated culinary experience featuring an exquisite selection of seasonal savories, fine pastries, freshly baked scones with accompaniments, and exceptional teas. Beautiful porcelain, elegant tea stands, and attentive service complete the occasion, with your private chef preparing and presenting Afternoon Tea in the comfort of your home.

What areas do you serve?
The Ideal Pastry offers private chef Afternoon Tea experiences throughout Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, including Silverleaf, DC Ranch, Troon North, and Desert Mountain. For nearby locations outside our standard service area, please inquire.
What time can Afternoon Tea begin?
Afternoon Tea may begin anytime between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday.
How many guests can I invite?
Afternoon Tea is designed as an intimate, seated experience for a minimum of six guests. The size and layout of your dining space ultimately determine the number we can comfortably accommodate. For larger celebrations, including bridal showers, a beautifully presented buffet-style Afternoon Tea featuring our signature tea stands can accommodate up to 24 guests.
The setting and available space will determine the ideal arrangement for your occasion.
Where is Afternoon Tea prepared?
Much of your Afternoon Tea is prepared in your home, with select components prepared in advance by your private chef. Final preparation, finishing and presentation take place in your kitchen.
Do I need to be home while you prepare?
Not necessarily. If you prefer to be out while we prepare, we simply arrange access in advance. Your chef generally arrives two to four hours before your Afternoon Tea begins.
What ingredients do you use?
Exceptional pastry begins with exceptional ingredients. We thoughtfully source quality dairy, chocolate, produce, meats and seafood, using real butter and cream throughout our pastry kitchen. Flavor and quality guide every ingredient we select. We prefer organic products and avoid seed oils when possible.
Can you accommodate food allergies or dietary restrictions?
We are pleased to consider dietary requests with advance notice. When possible, an alternative selection may be thoughtfully prepared to accommodate individual guests while preserving the elegance and quality of the Afternoon Tea experience.
Certain accommodations require additional preparation and may affect the event investment. All requests are reviewed individually and must be confirmed prior to booking.
Please note that we handle common allergens, including tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, wheat, soy, sesame, fish, and shellfish. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
How should I prepare for my Afternoon Tea?
Before your event, we ask that your kitchen be clean, countertops relatively clear and space available in the refrigerator and freezer. Your cooktop and oven should also be available and in working order.
Please provide water glasses, napkins and any table linens you wish to use. Your dining table should remain relatively clear to allow room for our tea stands and service pieces. Alcohol and appropriate glassware may be provided by the host if desired.
